El Paso Times: "Jaxon's closes El Paso locations after nearly 4 decades"
I had only been here once, and truly didn't enjoy it much. The food was nothing special, service slow, and it seedmed a little dirty. But it's always sad to see a local establishment close its doors. Did you eat at Jaxons? What was your experience?

I went to the one on mesa more than once but was never super impressed with the place. It was the first place i found here that actually brewed their own beer but it was only at certain locations. I had no idea they were in business for 4 decades. I guess there is a lot of competition.
ReplyDeleteI never used to like their food or beer, but then I started loving it a few years ago when I revisited them. I especially liked that they had vegetarian options. My favorites were their Chile Relleno Rolls appetizer, their housemade ranch, and soups. The app was basically tons of cheese and green chile rolled in an eggroll wrapper & deep fried. I posted a copycat recipe of their potato green chile soup on my blog.
ReplyDeleteI had a feeling they were going to close down when their food quality and service took a nosedive last year. They also raised their prices and then tried to offer bogo coupons at the end. So sad. I wonder who or what will take over the vacant locations.
